Reconnect. Rediscover. Reclaim

Psychotherapy for Adults and Adolescents

“Finding yourself" is not really how it works. You aren't a ten-dollar bill in last winter's coat pocket. You are also not lost...finding yourself is actually returning to yourself. An unlearning, an excavation, a remembering who you were before the world got its hands on you.”  Emily McDowell

In a world that's always moving too fast, we lose our grip. Floating adrift and feeling detached from the things that used to matter most. You're seeking a space to unburden the parts of you that feel lost, left behind and confused.

Maybe you’ve carried the quiet ache of alienation—being told you were different, weird, not enough, or too much. So you started hiding pieces of yourself, just to make it through. To feel safe.

If you’re needing a space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and unconditionally accepted, I’m here to help.

Treatments

Trauma

Therapy can help by teaching you the skills you need to regulate your nervous system, while empowering you to build on the resiliency you already hold . EMDR therapy, also known as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a type of therapy that is designed to help you move past those "stuck" points or themes in your life that occur as a result of emotional distress and trauma. EMDR can facilitate a way to process long-held trauma and beliefs in the body while re-creating a sense of safety and trust within yourself.

Anxiety

Anxiety feels debilitating and limiting in daily life. In session, we will explore anxiety coping skills and build on the concept of neuroplasticity- this is the ability your incredible brain has to rewire and restructure itself with the right tools.

Building on your mind-body connection, we will incorporate somatic techniques to help you feel anchored and grounded. Therapy can also provide you with the opportunity to explore the source and meaning behind the anxiety, understand it better, and learn to work with it instead of against it.

OCD

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder takes over your life and controls every aspect of your existence. In therapy, you will reign back the control OCD has stolen from you. ERP, or exposure and response prevention, is a type of therapy specifically designed to work with OCD and Phobias. It can be so scary facing your biggest fears. You don't have to do this on your own anymore.

I am still in training for ERP and OCD treatment.
